Let me share something that completely changed my life: understanding that I am a spirit, I have a soul, and I live in a body. When this truth actually sinks in, everything shifts. When you become spirit-conscious, you learn to let your spirit, controlled by the Holy Spirit, take the lead over your soul and body. That's when clarity shows up. That's when your decisions start actually working out.

When you're not sure what to do

Sometimes you'll pray for direction and not get a clear answer right away. That's normal. Don't assume you're doing something wrong. Sometimes God's timing involves waiting, and the waiting itself is part of His direction.

If you're facing a decision and still don't have clarity after praying, remember that God gave you wisdom and the ability to make good choices. Proverbs 3:5-6 says to trust in the Lord and lean not on your own understanding, acknowledging Him in all your ways. You probably won't hear an audible voice, most people don't, but you'll start recognizing impressions, promptings, and that sense of knowing.

Practice obedience in small things. When you get a prompting to encourage someone or pray for someone, act on it right away. Let me be honest: while getting direction is valuable, that's not really the point. The Holy Spirit doesn't just want to tell you what to do. He wants to walk with you. He wants you to know His voice because you know Him.
