Grief comes in waves, but God is near to the brokenhearted. Focus on their gain, not your pain, and let the Holy Spirit comfort you through this valley. Watch now.
Full Prayer Text
Hey family, this is a prayer for those who are grieving the loss of a loved one. Father God, I thank you as your word says in Ecclesiastes, there a time and a season for everything under the sun, a time for grief. Father God, help me to navigate through the waves of this grief. Father God, help me to focus on their gain and not my pain. Father God, I thank you. The emotions are flowing through me. I miss them so much. Lord, help me. Father God, give me peace in the midst of this storm. Father God, I thank you that you bind up my wounds. And Father God, you heal my broken heart. Father God, I thank you right now for my joy to come back. Father God, help me, Father God, to walk through this valley of the shadow of death. Lord, I thank you right now that your word says you are near to the brokenhearted. So I pray right now for your Holy Spirit, the comforter to comfort me as I navigate through my loss. And Lord, your word says you'll never leave me nor forsake me. Lord, your word says that you're an everpresent help in a time of trouble. So, Father God, I thank you right now that you envelope me right now, that I feel your presence as I go through this season. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
